For over a decade, Launch Greensboro, powered by the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce, has supported entrepreneurs with mentorship, funding, and business development resources. Its core initiative, LaunchLab, originally an accelerator focused only on early-stage companies, has evolved into a multi-faceted program serving businesses across the growth spectrum and a variety of industries.

The Sustain element of the program keeps graduates engaged, fostering a strong community where continued collaboration and knowledge sharing contribute to Greensboro’s economic vitality and culture of innovation. Launch Greensboro events like Startup Week and its Triad Navigator platform further connect entrepreneurs with valuable resources.

Since 2014, 520 businesses71% minority- or women-owned—have participated in LaunchLab. The program boasts a high business survival rate, aided by City-backed financial support, ensuring accessibility for qualified entrepreneurs.

LaunchLab alumni have scaled businesses, secured funding, and created jobs. Success stories include companies like Fusion3, a U.S.-based 3D printer manufacturer, and Minerva Lithium, a startup developing lithium extraction technology for EV batteries.

Diversity and inclusion are central to LaunchLab, with over 50% of participants being entrepreneurs of color.
