With Piedmont Triad International Airport as the center of NC Aerospace, Greensboro is home to a robust supply chain and top industry companies including Honda Aircraft Company and HAECO Americas, with recent economic development announcements including Boom Supersonic and Marshall Aerospace, multi-million-dollar projects that will bring thousands of jobs to the area.

In certain instances, a firm considering locating or expanding in Greensboro may be eligible to receive performance-based incentives to do so. The purpose of such incentives is to assist in creating new full-time employment, retaining existing jobs, and increasing the tax base in the City.

Alternatively, Greensboro City Council may provide infrastructure assistance (through cost sharing) to priority projects to support such developments. Provision of any form of financial assistance is solely at the discretion of City Council. Strategically, the City also may approve enhanced incentives to projects locating in designated Impact Zones. Incentives are presently targeted for the key industry clusters.
